Remedial Social Media

I'm uncertain whether my hesitation to join social media stems from being in my 50s or simply because I'm a private person who isn't particularly interested in what others are doing... so why would anyone be interested in what I'm up to? Nonetheless, here I am, attempting to dive in wholeheartedly.

We began our lavender farm three years ago. At that point, we had no clue how or where we would sell our products. That decision was for later. But now, it's right before us! Should we sell on Etsy, Shopify, or Amazon? Open a shop? Consignment at local stores? The reality is, we've put in so much effort to establish the farm, plant and tend to our lavender, harvest and distill, and then prepare the products for sale, that honestly, we don't want to give away 40% of our profit with those options. We aim to keep our product costs low while still earning a living. So, the final option is to use the internet and social media. So here I am, learning Facebook, Instagram, and website design.

One of my reels on Facebook is missing the word "take" in the first sentence. It took me 2 hours to create that reel...learning as I went. It was after I hit publish that I learned you cannot edit a reel after it is published. So, do I delete it and start all over...or ask forgiven for my poor grammar and move on to learn something new? So please forgive my poor grammar...I moved on to learn what and how to blog.

Therefore, I welcome you to join me on my journey. I assure you that I will remain connected and involved, and I look forward to sharing this new adventure with everyone...to becoming part of a community I never knew existed.

Welcome...it's nice to meet you.
